The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North, Hon. Ewurabena Aubynn, together with the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Adamu Musah Kalamu, and officers from the Municipal Education Directorate, embarked on a special tour to mark the annual “My First Day at School” celebration for Kindergarten One pupils.
The team visited all public schools across the municipality to witness the joyful—and sometimes teary-eyed—beginnings of these young learners’ educational journeys. The day was filled with energy, excitement, and the promise of brighter futures.
As part of the occasion, Hon. Ewurabena Aubynn presented each new pupil with a starter pack to equip them for school. Each pack included:
Exercise Books – to fill with knowledge Pencils – to write their stories Sharpeners & Erasers – to remind them that mistakes are part of learning Snacks – to keep their energy high throughout the dayThe initiative went beyond a donation; it was a deliberate investment in the potential of every child and a clear message that the community believes in and supports them from the very first day.
Hon. Kalamu commended Hon. Aubynn for her unwavering commitment to education and further acknowledged the tireless efforts of teachers and education officers—describing them as the true heroes shaping the future of Ablekuma North.
