The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ablekuma North, Hon. Adamu Musah Kalamu, has chaired a meeting of the Municipal Security Council (MUSEC) to deliberate on pressing security issues and strategize for the safety and well-being of residents.
The collaborative and productive session involved a comprehensive review of the municipality’s current security landscape, focusing on crime prevention, emergency response preparedness, and fostering inter-agency cooperation for a more integrated approach to public safety.
Hon. Kalamu expressed profound gratitude to the representatives from key security agencies for their unwavering commitment and valuable insights, emphasizing that their presence underscores the collective resolve to ensure peace and order within the municipality.
The following agencies were recognized for their vital roles:
Ghana Police Service – for their frontline role in crime combat and community policing.
Ghana National Fire Service – for their readiness in mitigating fire hazards and other emergencies.
National Security & Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) – for their strategic intelligence and counter-intelligence support.
NADMO – for their crucial role in disaster preparedness, management, and response.
Municipal Security Coordinator – for coordinating efforts on the ground.
Hon. Kalamu reaffirmed that security is a shared responsibility, stressing that the Assembly remains steadfast in providing leadership and resources to ensure a secure environment where businesses can thrive and residents can live in peace.
