On Saturday, 2nd August 2025, the Municipal Chief Executive of Ablekuma North, Hon. Adamu Musah Kalamu, led a COMMUNITY-WIDE WASTE COLLECTION initiative aimed at reinforcing the importance of proper waste disposal and sustaining a clean and healthy environment.
The exercise brought together Assembly members, Assembly staff, environmental health officers, Zoomlion Ghana Limited, community leaders, youth groups, and volunteers who collectively embarked on cleaning major streets, drains, and public spaces across the municipality.
Hon. Kalamu emphasized that maintaining a clean environment is a shared responsibility and a crucial step toward preventing diseases, improving public health, and enhancing the overall appearance of the municipality.
He also called on residents to comply with sanitation by-laws and to actively participate in clean-up exercises, stressing that the Assembly will not relent in its efforts to enforce sanitation regulations and promote sustainable waste management practices.
