REPORT ON MENTORSHIP AND CAREER GUIDANCE FOR SELECTED STUDENTS IN THE ABLEKUMA NORTH MUNICIPALITY

The NYA Ablekuma North Secretariat in collaboration with Ghana Education Services Ablekuma North  on Monday 14th July organized a mentorship and career guidance for selected public schools in the Municipality 
Fire safety, Health, Education(teaching career) Public crime and security were the various careers discussed. 
The major objectives/aim of the training programme was to introduce the students to various careers and academic requirements necessary for their success. Again, for the development of young people by bringing mentors closer to share their career journey, life and experiences in order to expose learners to benefits from their rich experiences. 
 Officers from Ghana Education Service,Ghana National Fire Service,Ghana Health Service, and the Ghana Police Service gathered at St John Anglican Church Odorkor in Ablekuma North Municipality for the success of this very important program. The National Youth Authority of the Assembly 
collaborated with the Municipal Guidance and Counseling and Special Education coordinators to plan and execute the programme. It was very participatory as students threw many questions which were answered to their satisfaction. 
The programme ended successfully after learning materials were given to the students to aid in their learning process.
